Lorig Construction Company is a contractor specializing in heavy/highway construction in the Chicagoland area. The main operations of the company include bridge and structural concrete construction, road construction, earth retention systems, pile driving and soundwall construction.

Lorig Construction Company has been under current ownership since 1986 and its management employees have hundreds of years of construction experience. Since its inception, Lorig Construction Company has been involved in almost every major highway reconstruction project in the Chicagoland area. Some of these projects have been on the Jane Byrne Interchange, the Jane Addams Tollway, the Tri-State Tollway, the Bishop Ford Expressway, the Kennedy Expressway and the Reagan memorial Tollway.

Our projects range in size from ten thousand dollars to over one hundred million dollars. The projects range from simple one day projects to complex multi-million dollar projects that span several years. Our client list includes the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, the City of Chicago, Cook County, Kane County, DuPage County, Lake County as well as various railroads and other private entities. Our main focus is in the highway and bridge construction sector as a general contractor. However, we have also performed multiple pile driving, earth retention systems and soundwall construction projects as a subcontractor.

We employ over 350 people and are able to self-perform all structural concrete, all paving concrete, demolition, pile driving as well as having the capability to self perform various other items including drainage and earthwork.

We are a full-service company and can take a project from beginning to end. We offer design build services in partnership with any one of the engineering design firms that we have worked with on past projects.

We own and maintain 100% of our equipment, as well as a large inventory of materials at our three separate yards in the Chicago area and are able to mobilize quickly, if needed for a specific project.

As a closely held, private business, we take great pride in our work. During its 34 years, Lorig Construction Company has received an award every year from at least one governmental agency. We have never had a dispute with an owner, subcontractor, supplier or engineer that has resulted in litigation.
